Sensor Division


Stark Aerospace’s Electro-Optics team produces and repairs electro-optic sensors that are used on airborne, ground and maritime vehicles, as well as for perimeter observation.

Stark’s variety of sensor systems have capabilities to support day or night/thermal observation, surveillance, tracking, ranging and targeting. With the additional capability for laser ranging and target designation, Stark’s EO/IR systems provide the operator with the flexibility to support any operational need.

The gyro-stabilized Plug-In Optronic (POP) EO/IR sensors include the POP300 and the POP300D/HD equipped with a laser tracking and designation system.

In addition to the POP300 series, Stark’s family of sensors includes the 8” MiniPOP and the all new StarkLite 200.

StarkLite 200 (SL-200) is a miniature payload, targeted for the small UAS market, with high stabilization and 24X optical zoom for the day EO camera.

StarkLite 200 is a high performance, multi-sensor, miniature electro-optical payload for sUAS. The payload provides enhanced image capabilities for mini-, and micro UAVs and other observation systems. By using innovative technology, StarkLite 200 matches the capabilities of bigger payloads in a very small package. It is small, light-weight, and robust with features previously available only on larger, more expensive payloads.

StarkLite 200 is a miniature 2-axis gyro stabilized payload equipped with a visible camera, a thermal camera, a laser pointer and a 10MP still capability. It has continuous zoom, LOS data measurement and multiple observation and tracking modes.

The POP300 is an ideal solution for light reconnaissance aircraft, static pole installations, UAVs, military and police helicopters, naval vessels and ground vehicles.

The POP300 is built of a turret, housing the payload motion and stabilization elements, and sensor “slices” that offer different sensor/laser combinations. This unique design enables easy reconfiguration in the field and provides the user with operational flexibility.

MiniPOP
The MiniPOP is an 8″ lightweight payload for day/night observation system designed for military, para-military and civilian applications and as a weapon sight. The payload provides real-time image, automatic video tracker capabilities and precise target geo-location for small platforms including small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), armored vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and naval vessels.

The MiniPOP is a dual axis, gyro-stabilized payload. The payload is one Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), open architecture design that carries up to four sensors. The basic configuration includes a continuous zoom color day camera and a thermal imaging camera.
